Despite the myth, you don’t need a college degree to become a software developer. As long as you developed the skills and knowledge in computer science, you can still land a job as a software developer and enjoy the lucrative salary.  

Software developers create and design new system software. They ensure that the new system software is functioning correctly and efficiently by being hands-on with the planning, writing codes using programming languages, and testing the software.  They also work with different platforms such as desktop computers, mobile phones, and the Internet.

Web Developer

Information Security Analyst

They generally work in offices, and at some point, they may be present in server rooms if they are working on a company’s information and communication systems hardware. Computer Systems Administrator

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released a report in 2019 that the computer systems administrator made a median salary of $83,510. Computer Systems Administrators oversee the overall operation of an organization’s computer system. They manage and maintain the efficiency of these networks in order to avoid disruptions to a business.

They serve as the first point of contact when an organization’s computer networks encounter technical problems. Their main job is to oversee the organization’s network and computer systems’ performance through proper maintenance of the hardware, software, updates, and more. They ensure that computer servers and networks meet the needs of various users of a given organization.
